Withdrawal?

With the crap timetable that I've been allocated that just about conflicts with that of everyone else I know. I felt lost in the rush of the crowd, and this feeling was so... Dunman High? Oh no...

Just that school's just started, and its really up to my distinction. Should I withdraw into the shell that I've lived in for so long in my Dunman years? I was pretty surprised at how much I enjoyed myself during Circle, the euphoric feelings that accompanied each triumph and the jubilation that followed. The sense of invulnerability, of being able to enjoy my very own SMU experience, as depicted by my bros.

Sure I could start afresh. Get to know each and every one of them. These unfamiliar faces in my class. How many 'hi's and 'bye's can I stand? The inanity of such shallow relationships. I hope to learn as much about others as I possibly can, and in the process, perhaps meet another Koof or Meng. Will time prove me wrong again?

I feel lost.

Everyday I love YOU

It's a smile when I get mad
All the little things I am
Everyday I love YOU

If I asked would YOU say yes?
Together WE're the very best
I know that I am truly blessed
Everyday I love YOU
And I'll give YOU my best
Everyday I love YOU

I am Noir... and Nua!

Sentosa was pretty good... After trying so long for a decent rally (that did not come to pass), I must still say that we had some fun out there in the sun. The kayaking, the yakking and all. Exhausting, but overall thanks to everyone who turned up.

I am noticeably darker post-Orientation activities, but I am none the worse for wear for it... Today we had a full-strength dinner for the group of brudders... And there was so much to talk about...

Abit tired now, and will blog more after some much-needed sleep... Zzzz...

ASuck My Ass

Why do some girls, simply by thinking that they are of a higher intellectual capacity, deem it fit to judge that 'this guy is so damn uncouth', and then dismiss him with a perfunctory wave of the hand? Oh please.

So what if guys feel challenged by their grey matter? Are they really there to be 'conquered'? Do they want to be tossed aside like some old rag doll after use? There's something about the male ego that makes it desirable about getting with a girl of higher intellect. It's almost as though if holding her hand would necessarily translate into a direct increase in IQ on the guy's part.

We're all academic equals here in SMU, and like it or not, despite all your introspective thinking and idealistic principles, a healthy dose of pragmatism is essential to living a life of fulfilment, as opposed to the lessons in futility that social skills classes purportedly are supposed to impart.

I do not profess to be a master of social skills, but sensitivity and tolerance does come in handy in dealing with the 'peasants' that inhabit the 'lower strata' of society.

Alright. I shall not begrudge them their youth. It is, after all, through trials and tribulations that experience is amassed. Life is only lived when one truly experiences a sense of loss.

Pig trotters anyone?

My hands are disgustingly swollen... Never underestimate the power of an ant's bite, especially when it has yellow dots and differently-colored thorax and abdominal parts. And so I went home from the Freshie camp at Sentosa, courtesy of ASoc...

I didn't really enjoy myself, probably cos I've enjoyed myself so much at the Circle thingy... Kudos to 61 yet again. And I had the time to witness the one rendezvous. So very much into each other, hopelessly caught up in a world of their own. I hope that things do work out, and no matter what, one does not love to order. So please, Cool Dawg, before you set out on staking Bukit Timah as your own, please do find your way about the numerous routes there.

I'm talking crap... but I guess I'm just too tired... Cya peeps!

Gastronomy for the Gluttony

This post contains scenes of explicit gluttony and graphic savagery. Viewer discretion is advised. Any hunger thus induced is purely incidental, and this exempts the blogger from having to 'qia' supper as it is.

Prepping for the Operation required much help from the ever-reliable Jimmy... *Hic*

=Operation DSB=
At Excelsior Hotel, circa 11.28am...

The initial bombardment, circa 11.52am...

The battle stained soldier holds up the casualty list, circa 1.26pm...

And so ends Operation DSB, and the proud warriors live to fight another day.

Post-Op Debriefing was conducted at Cafe Cartel, Plaza Singapura.
Attendees included Corporal D.Heng, Private B.Ryan and Major S.Heng... The 3-Man Crispy Combo was finished with much relish by the diminutive Corporal Heng.
